Eliza is recorded as being 'in fever' and 'sickly' when she entered Magherafelt workhouse on 28 Jan 1848; she left 10 Jul 1848, perhaps to join the 'Roman Emperor'. Officially 21 young women came from Magherafelt workhouse & 8 from Larne. This girl has not been located in any South Australian records so perhaps was not on the Roman Emperor.

In Mar 1866 a woman by this name was assaulted by Julia Over and in September 1866 a Sarah Butler was charged for assaulting Maria Cooke. In 1884 Sarah Butler & Margaret Jackson were fined for ‘behaving in an insulting manner’. Mention of a missing Sarah Butler in Victoria sounds unlikely to have been her, but all possibilities are open!
