- Margaret McFall possibe sister of Jane McFall per Roman Emperor so perhaps also an immigrant on that ship; in 1856 advertised as a nurse wanting work with a family returning to England having been nurse to the Harbour Master, Capt. Douglas; in May 1857 Margaret McFall (24) married Alfred Cluney (29) at St Pauls, Port Adelaide (her father’s name shown as Daniel McFall); from 1857-64 Alfred Cluney worked as a ship’s cook and was occasionally in trouble for drunkenness, damage of items in the ship’s galley and later of assault and violence, being charged with murder of the engineer of the steamer, Queen in Feb 1864 in New Zealand but was released ‘without the slightest stain on his character’; no children located; he is seems to be Alfred Blackley Cluney who died in 1873 in George St Sydney, aged 41, ‘leaving a wife and large circle of friends to mourn their loss’; Margaret died aged 42 in Victoria in 1874, her parents noted as Daniel McFall and Isabella Nelson.
