Gov report 1850, CO 13/70 one of a group involved in prostitution; also SAA GRG65/1/1, 22 Jan 1851; between Jan 1851 and Jul 1856 Rose appeared in court various times for being drunk, using obscene and disgusting language and for prostitution. In 1855, descripted as ‘a tall, coarse, repulsive-looking female’ and ‘the graceless creature’, was sent to gaol for a month; she died 12 Jan 1857, aged 24.
