- Trevor McClaughlin noted from Minute Books for Castlederg, PRONI BG8/A2/2 p.148, the names of 15 eligible candidates for emigration to Australia but officially only 6 were on the Roman Emperor; no sign of Sarah Hunter in South Australian BDM or Hospital records; she is perhaps the woman who married James Cousen in Victoria in 1855; 8 children found 1856-1872, born at McCallums Creek and Amherst; Sarah died on 19 Oct 1918 at her son Samuel’s residence in Geelong, aged 82 and was buried in the New General Cemetery two days later - her parents were noted as William Cousen & Agnes Borland which is incorrect as she was nee Hunter. James Cousen had died in Talbot in 1912, noted as the son of John Cousen and Hannah Jenkinson.
