- Trevor McClaughlin found the names of a number of possible Roman Emperor orphans who came from workhouse in Magherafelt (Co. Londonderry) BG/23/G/1: Rose had ‘no means of support, very sickly’ entered workhouse 19 Mar 1848, left 11 July 1848; As Rose Brennan married Charles Biffin in 1852 at RC Church Adelaide (both full age); no children found in SA; but a daughter, Eliza Ann, was born Victoria in 1861. Her husband was admitted to the Yarra Bend Asylum, Victoria in 1867 and died in Ararat Asylum in Jul 1881, aged 49. Their daughter and four of her five children were burned to death in a fire at Hay in Aug 1891 - only her husband Hercules Brown and one children survived. Rose died at Cootamundra in 1915.rnrn
