SAA CSO 1848/1647 Surgeons Journal notes Sarah Miliken as a hospital nurse on board ship, volunteered when outbreak of spotted fever; may be an immigrant other than workhouse orphan; possibly the Sarah Mullin, 20, who married Richard James Hawes in 1850 at Willunga, Adelaide district; Sarah Hawes in Adelaide hospital 1868 noted as b.c.1822, Protestant, married, an Adelaide prostitute, born Londonderry, per Roman Emperor in 1848; 2 sons born 1851 & 1855; in 1864 received out-door relief from Destitute Asylum over previous 10 years; unwilling to work; died 1873, noted as aged 45
