His wife Mary apparently died and Terence Gray applied for a free passage for his sons Patrick & Michael Gray who arrived per 'Northumberland' 1854. In April 1852 Ann Gray travelled to VDL where, in Aug 1852, she married William Baxter, a former soldier in 59th Regt of Foot, convicted of desertion in Barbados in 1842 -he'd returned to London, thence transported per 'Emerald Isle' to VDL in 1843; 7 children, only three survived to adulthood. Less than a year after her 7 yr old daughter’s tragic death by burning, Ann Baxter nee Gray died on 13 Jan 1869 in Deloraine at the age of 33 years of Pericarditis.
