Margaret was from the Town of Armagh when empl. by Andrew Hickey at Warron [Waurn] Ponds, Geelong, £6, 12 months, apprentice; married Scotsman, John Simpson at Geelong in Feb 1853 witnessed by Elizabeth Hickey, probable wife of her employer; 10 children; they settled in the bush at Bolwarrah, near Springbank, Gordon and Bungaree outside Ballarat. In Jun 1901 John died as the result of a coach accident when the coach they were travelling in was struck by a train on their way to Ballarat to collect their old age pension. John was severely injured and died soon after, Margaret recovered but apparently never walked again. Simpson relatives still live on Simpsons road, Bolwarrah
