On list of passengers in 'South Australian Register', 7 Jun 1849 - appears twice, as Catherine Brackin and Katherine Brackin, but we suspect it is the same girl; married 1) William Robinson in 1851 at Mount Barker; 3 sons born Salt Creek, 1852-4; William Robinson, owner of a shanty, Traveller’s Rest, was murdered in Jun 1856 apparently by local mailman Malachi Martin who was having an affair with his wife; marriage 2) Malachi Martin Jun 1858 at St Patrick’s, Adelaide; 1 daughter, Theresa b.1860; Malachi, a convicted murderer, was hanged on 24 Dec 1862 at Adelaide Gaol, buried Adelaide Gaol Cemetery; marriage 3) George Ingham 1871, her father’s name noted as Michael Brackin; 2 daughters b.1869 & 1870; Catherine died1915.
