seems to be the girl as follows: on SA Archives list 49/17 as Ann Leary aged 16; Adelaide Observer 10 Jun 1854 p.3 as Ann Leary on the Elgin; possible unclaimed letters for her on 30 May 1854 [Adelaide Observer, 10 Jun 1854] & 8 Nov 1856 [SA Register, 8 Nov 1856]; as Ann O’Leary she married John Wescombe 15 Dec 1863 at Morphett Vale – the marriage was his residence, her father noted as Timothy O’Leary; John Wescombe had married Amelia Whittaker in 1840 and they had 4 children 1839-46 before his wife left him in 1853 but she did not die until 1875, when John remarried Ann O’Leary on 19 Apr 1875; total of 10 children together; Ann died, a widow, at her residence, Gillies St, Adelaide on 25 Jan 1897 & her obituary stated she had 3 sons & 5 daughters (alive); her husband had died on 25 Jun 1878, aged 66.
