Ellen may have had sisters or cousins also on Elgin as there was a Mary Cunningham, aged 15 & Cath Cunniingham aged 16. Both Ellen and Mary's father was James, mother unknown but yet to determine if the same James. The Elgin orphans came from 5 unions - Fermoy, Lismore, Skibbereen, Kilarney & Clomel [B&P Vol 2, pp.400-2]. Descendant has deducted that it seems likely that Ellen was from Lismore or Fermoy; Ellen married Alfred Cleve in 1854; 1 son, Alfred Daniel b.Jun 1855; Alfred was a shopkeeper, lived in Wakefield St, Adelaide in 1856; family to Melbourne by 1860, ran fruit shop in Prahan, then Carlton; Ellen died Melbourne in March 1911 aged, 79.
