- On list of passengers in 'South Australian Register', 9 Jun 1849 as McCarmick; as McCormick died 27 Jan 1906, aged 72 at Convent of Mercy, Mount Gambier, South Australia, aged 72 [315/192]; buried Lake Terrace Cemetery; noted in her obituary as a well-known resident of Penola who had worked for John Riddoch of Yallum for about 40 years. John & George Riddock were born in Scotland, emigrated to Victorian, worked in the goldfields and became wealthy pastoralists in the Mount Gambier district [see ADB entry]; Ann moved to Mt Gambier about six months before her death. A sister, Mrs Thomas Kelly, of Mt Gambier is also mentioned living at Mt Gambier [Border Watch, 31 Jan 1906]
