His son, William, who married Mary Ann, was born in India when his father was in the British East India Co., possibly educated in boarding school in Ireland but came to Australia when his father took up the post in Moreton Bay in early 1840; William Jones died Oct 1899 and Mary Ann died Feb 1909, both in Wellington, New Zealand; both buried in the Bolton St. Cemetery, Wellington.
