Barefoot & Pregnant, p.398: born 29 Jul 1835 Co Down, daughter of John and Mary; Adelaide Hospital records show Murphy Eliza Jane entered the hospital on 13 Mar 1867, aged 35, married, Catholic, Adelaide housewife born in Coleraine and arrived about 20 years earlier on the Roman Emperor, she was discharged on 8 Jun 1867. This refutes earlier contact by a possible descendant to Trevor McClaughlin in 1980s which provided information that Elizabeth married Patrick Daly in 1850 and had about 5 children before remarrying in 1862 to David Napier & dying, destitute aged 70 in 1905; recent research in 2016 and the evidence from the above hospital records located marriage of Eliza Jane Martin in Oct 1851 to widower, William Murphy; in May 1866 both William and Eliza Murphy were charged with using insulting language in Curried Street. Eliza Jane Murphy died 1867 aged 36 in Adelaide.
