descendants report located her baptism on 21 Mar 1831 at Holy Cross as illegitimate dau of Edmund Fitzgerald & Mary Ann O'Connor [thus her name as Connor]; shipping: house servant, cannot read or write, no relatives in colony; misbehaved in service of Mr Sydney Scarvell and indentures cancelled; married ex-convict George Hough in Brisbane 1851; 9 children; died at Windmill St., 19 Nov 1896; buried Toowong; In 1997 a plaque was unveiled in the Kenmare Old Cemetery in memory of Kenmare famine victims.
