Shipping: dairymaid, cannot read or write, no relatives in colony; as a dairymaid it seems Elizabeth went to the Immigration Depot at Goulburn where she settled with her new employer at 'Richlands', north of Goulburn & became tenant farmers; married Samuel Slater at Richlands in Jun 1851; 13 children, 7 survived to adulthood; Samuel died 13 Sep 1869 [incorrect on headstone] leaving her with 7 young children, including a baby; she remained a widow for 31 years; Elizabeth died in Jan 1901 of influenza and pneumonia; buried RC Stonequarry (now Taralga); the day after her funeral, Elizabeth's house and its contents burned to the ground due to an accidental fire. At least 40 grandchildren
