Two Mary Hickeys from Scarriff on Thomas Arbuthnot. Shipping: house servant, cannot read or write, no relatives in colony. Empl. WH Broughton, Burrowa, ₤8, 1 year. possibly married Henry Scott at Burrowa on 4 May 1851, witnesses James Talbot & Mary Hurley [a Margaret Hurley was on Thomas Arbuthnot & worked for Broughton at Burrowa]. Drowned in Gundagai flood 25 Jun 1852 with her son Henry ['A Decent Set of Girls'; note 'Barefoot & Pregnant?' has the two Mary Hickey's from Scarriff married around the other way; difficult to confirm at this stage.
